The short version: Pool Set AI does not build a profile of who you are. You send text or a photo for analysis. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifiers. The developer does not gather personal data, and users never exchange information with each other inside the app.
Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to Pool Set AI (the "App"), an iOS volleyball analysis tool published by Lucia Berch ("we", "us", "the developer"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If anything is unclear, reach us at [email protected].
What You Actually Share With the App
Pool Set AI is built around a simple input model. When you use the App, you may provide exactly one of the following:
- Written text — a description of a volleyball situation, rotation, or tactical question you typed yourself.
- A photo — an image of a game moment, court setup, or training situation you chose from your device.
That is the full extent of user-provided content. The App does not ask for your real name, contact details, location, contacts list, calendar, or any other personal information. There is no social layer — users do not send data to one another, and the developer does not operate a user database of personal records.
What We Do Not Collect
To be explicit, the developer does not collect, store, or sell:
- Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- Physical addresses or precise location data
- Payment information (the App does not process payments directly through this policy's scope)
- Contact lists, photos outside what you explicitly submit for analysis, or device files you did not choose
- Any data exchanged between users — because that functionality does not exist
Identifiers We May Use (and Nothing More)
The App may generate or receive a unique anonymous device identifier for two limited purposes:
- Push notifications — so the App can deliver alerts you have opted into, managed through OneSignal (a third-party service).
- Analytics and attribution — aggregated, non-personal usage signals handled through Singular (a third-party service) to understand how the App is installed and used.
These identifiers are not linked to your identity by the developer. They exist to make notifications and basic analytics work — not to profile you as an individual.
Third-Party Services
Pool Set AI relies on independent third-party providers. Each operates under its own privacy terms. We encourage you to review their policies directly.
OpenAI — AI Text Generation
When you submit a written description or ask a question in the AI coach chat, your text input is sent to OpenAI, a third-party artificial intelligence service, to generate analysis and coaching responses. If you submit a photo, that image is sent to the same service for visual analysis.
Only the content you deliberately provide — your typed message or attached photo — is transmitted. No personal profile, account name, or contact information is included because the App does not collect those fields. OpenAI processes this content according to its own data handling practices as an independent service provider.
OneSignal — Push Notifications
OneSignal is a third-party push notification platform. If you grant notification permission, OneSignal may store a device token and anonymous identifier to deliver push messages. The developer does not receive your personal contact information through this integration.
Singular — Analytics & Attribution
Singular is a third-party analytics and attribution service. It may collect anonymized device-level data — such as install source and general usage patterns — to help the developer understand App performance. This data is not used by the developer to identify individual users.
Local Data on Your Device
The App retains your latest analysis session locally on your device so you can return to your most recent report and continue the AI coach conversation. Only one active session is kept at a time. Profile preferences (such as your selected volleyball role or skill level) are stored on your device for personalization. This information is not uploaded to the developer's servers as personal data.
Children's Privacy
Pool Set AI is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not request personal identifiers, no child-specific data collection mechanism exists. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party channel, please contact us and we will assist in addressing the concern.
Data Security
Content sent for AI analysis travels over encrypted connections to third-party providers. The developer applies reasonable measures within the App's design to limit data exposure — chiefly by not collecting personal data in the first place. No method of electronic transmission is perfectly secure, but the App's architecture minimizes what could be exposed.
Your Choices
- Notifications: You can disable push notifications at any time through your iOS device settings.
- Content: You choose what text or photos to submit. Do not include personal information in your descriptions if you prefer not to.
- Local session: Starting a new analysis replaces the previous session on your device.
- Deletion: Uninstalling the App removes locally stored session data and preferences from your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. Material changes will be noted within the App or on this page where practicable.
